SANTA!

I know you can't tell from these pictures, but Avery was so excited to see Santa and loved sitting on his lap and Sarah was scared to sit on his lap and really didn't want to!

Sarah's Second Birthday

Happy Birthday Sarah!

One of her favorite presents was this huge bottle of bubbles!

Bitty Baby training potty! Now she and her baby doll can be potty trained together!

A few more...

You can't really see in the photo above, but Avery and Sarah are wearing "Big Sis" shirts, and James is wearing a "Little Brother" shirt. Thanks Carters.

This photo doesn't make clear whether James or dad was using the orange pacifier on Chris' shoulder.

Sarah's jealousy hasn't quite set in yet.

Grandma Blake's eighth grandchild!

Mimi's twelfth great-grandchild!

James David Henderson

In the above photo, James is wearing a vintage Georgia Bulldogs shirt, so vintage that it's the same one Chris wore over 27 years ago...

James was born Thursday, November 10 at 4:33 am! He weighed 8 lbs 15 oz and was 22 inches long! He and Hannah came home from the hospital today, and both of them are great! Hope you enjoy the photos, and more to be posted!

Funny Sarah

Sarah has gotten really good at making funny faces! Here are some of her most recent attempts!!

Bike Riding

Christopher's manager at work has an 8 year old girl and we have become the recipiant of her hand-me-downs! She gave Avery her old barbie bike! It is still a tad big, but we enjoy watching her try. We went to the middle school and had the girls ride their bikes around the track! After we rode around twice Avery decided to run around the track once. She was actually faster running around than riding around the track!!

Baby Blanket

Christopher left us this weekend for a 2 day scout leadership training campout! It was a true toss up as to who was less excited for him to go. I am glad to report though that he had a better time then he thought he would. While he was gone we girls were left to our own devices. I thought we would be able to go out and do somethings, but Avery got sick Friday and left us homebound. So Saturday I made a baby blanket for our baby boy who should arrive in 2 months! I have made a lot of quilts and blankets and have spent a good amount of hours behind a sewing machine, but this is the first blanket I have ever made all by myself with no one next to me! I finished it in about 4 hours.

Drum Roll Please...

I finished Avery's cross-stitch stocking last night! It only took me 40 days to complete it. Of course I did nothing else but cross stitch for the last 40 days. I now just need my mom to come and turn it into an actual stocking! Avery thinks she is going to get to wear it on her foot! We are one step closer to being ready for Christmas!!

Our Girls

Sarah has started smiling on demand. She is very cute and very willing to smile for the camera. She has a pretty funny smile though and usually can't keep her eyes open while smiling.

Avery thought it would be fun to sleep in her lego bucket. She curled up and fit right in!

Our girls are very into lego towers right now. Avery likes to build them up to the ceiling and knock them over. It is a lot of fun for them!!

Sarah's Black Eye

Sarah had an unpleasant meeting with her play table on Saturday. She lost the battle! This was her black eye on day 1.

Black Eye on day 2

Black Eye on day 4

She now has great street cred!!!

AT Hike

Christopher took a big group of boys hiking on the AT the first week in June. This is all of them at the beginning. Notice how clean their shirts are and the smiles on their faces!!!
My brothers, Malan and Hansen, came out to Atlanta to go with Christopher.

They hiked 42 miles in 6 days and rafted 8 miles. This is their view from the top! They were above the clouds.

Now notice how dirty their shirts are!!

This was the sign at the end of the hike!! They made it the entire way and Christopher can't wait to go again next summer!!

Memorial Day

For Memorial Day Weekend we went to Mexico Beach, Fl. We spent our time on the beach. Avery loved it! Her favorite part was the sand. She would pour it all over her body and make big piles of sand to jump into! She had a blast and could have never left!

The reason there are no pictures of Sarah on the beach is because she hated it! She cried the entire time and hates the sand. We hope she will grow out of it.

Here is Avery's sun burn/really cool tan lines she got while down in Florida!!On the last night there we went to watch the sunset! It was gorgeous! Avery and Sarah had fun running up and down the boardwalk.

Avery's 3rd Birthday!

I can't believe our little girl is 3 years old! She had a great birthday and has loved all her gifts. She actually got into opening presents this year and really liked picking out her cake flavors!
Avery really only likes the icing. I think next year I will just get her a tub of icing and I will eat all the cake!!

She got bubbles from her Grandma Henderson and Lito!

Grandma and Grandpa Blake gave her Toy Story Legos!

And her Dad gave Avery her favority gift! A fishing pole. She loves to practice over our balcony.
