Day 1 continues...

After the railroad we went to a monument/park in Chattanooga were the Trail of Tears started many years ago. Usually their is water running down the steps to indicate the tears, but it was too cold. So instead Avery had fun running up and down the steps without water.

That night we went to dinner at Hillbilly Willy's Bar-B-Q!!! It was amazing! I loved the food and if we ever go back to Chattanooga we will eat there every night!!!

After dinner we went to Lookout Mountain which over looks the entire city. It was fun for Christopher and I to see, but our girls didn't love it!

Down the road from Lookout Mountain is Chattanooga National Military Park. We walked around for awhile and saw all the cool cannons, but the highlight of the park was getting to watch a guy propose to his girlfriend! It was so cute and I wish we had taken a picture.

Family Vacation Day 1

Day 1 started with a trip to the Tennessee Valley Railroad. It was a blast and the girls loved riding a real train.

This is the actual train we road.

We road a couple of miles and then got off the train. We were able to see how they turn the train around on a big turn table. Then we got back on the train and road it to the station. It was a lot of fun!

Avery and Sarah's favorite part was hanging their heads out the window and feeling the wind in their hair.

Easter

Avery and Sarah loved Easter this year. They both really got into hunting for eggs and loved eating all the chocolate. Here they are in their Easter dresses with their Easter bunnies!

Sarah loved looking for eggs and even did pretty well at it!

Avery was the funniest Easter egg hunter. She passed up every single hard boiled egg and only picked up the plastic ones with chocolate!

sarah's smile

Sarah wanted to show the world her 2 big front teeth!
She loves to smile!

She loves to smile more while eating because really nothing makes her happier than eating!

Avery

Here are just some of the pictures we took of Avery over the past month... Avery loves to play house. She puts the mommy and daddy at the table and then sets up the babies to eat with them.
Here Avery made me follow her around with the camera and take pictures of her and her doll!

Avery was showing Dad that she could hold up her doll with just one hand just like Dad does to her. You will also have to forgive her for her smile.

After Avery got into Aunt Leah's lipstick!

Avery's first real haircut!!

Cowgirl Avery

This picture is for Great Grandma Blake and Grandma Blake. Avery is going to be a great sewer one day! She already has the look down!

Standing

Around the middle of January Sarah started standing on her own. Standing was very scary for her and she only stood when we made her do it!
Here is her second attempt.
Sarah has now perfected standing and moved on to walking!
