Memorial Day Weekend

We spent Memorial Day weekend up in Virginia with Grandma and Lito.  We had a lot of fun!  Avery and Sarah spent the first afternoon fishing.  They really enjoyed casting their pole into the river.

 We also had a little birthday party for Avery!  She loved her pink cake!!

 Even though it wasn't super hot outside we took the girls swimming.  It took a bit to get used to the water, but the girls really enjoyed cooling off.  

 Clearly we were very tired by the end because Sarah fell asleep before she could even get her entire body into bed.

 We also got a ferry across one of the rivers.  Avery and Sarah fed bread to all the birds.

Farm Day

In early May we spent a day on the farm!  Christopher's boss invited us to his farm up in north Georgia.  Our girls loved being on the farm.  

 They rode horses and went on hay rides!

 Christopher and I got to shoot guns.  I was the best shot!!

 James took a nap!

 Avery's favorite part was feeding the chickens and collecting the eggs.  She only broke one in the process!

We went over to Mimi and Papa's home and had Easter dinner with the Henderson family. Then we had a cousin Easter egg hunt. It was a lot of fun.

Atlanta Botanical Gardens

We spent the morning at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens! It was a lot of fun and walking around that place wore Avery and Sarah out completely!

The Orchids
There was a fun childrens' garden with slides. Avery and Sarah loved them and by the end were even willing to do it alone!

There were a bunch of frog statues and Avery loved finding them!

We went to see the tulips that are blooming right now, and they were gorgeous.

Cheerleader Sarah

We have been trying to teach Sarah to be a cheerleader! She loves standing on Christopher's hand and cheering for James to roll over. She is actually getting pretty good at it. Here are her best attempts.

The Circus

Avery participated in her preschool circus on Friday! She was a stilt walker and got to wear a funny hat. She did great at her act and didn't fall once. The lighting was horrible, so all our pictures turned out very dark.

I have been trying to get one good picture of our three kids together. So far these are the best I have got!
