Hillcrest Orchards continues...

Christopher made Avery go on this moving swing ride. Avery hated it and Christopher loved it!

The best part of the orchard was the Apple cider we bought. It was so amazing. It was like drinking a fresh apple! So good!!!

We also had a turkey leg for lunch there! It was yummy, but not as yummy as the apple cider!!

more petting farm!!

This is my favorite picture! Sarah's face is the best!!

Those poor chicks!! They were not the same after they met Sarah!

Hillcrest Orchard's Petting Farm!!

The highlight of our Saturday was the petting farm at the orchard! Both Sarah and Avery loved it. Avery followed all the animals around and Sarah had no fear when given an animal to hold. Avery liked the chicks and the goats the best.
Christopher caught a chicken and tried to get Avery to hold it. She was a bit timid and decided to just pet the chicken.

Sarah on the other hand just went for it. She was very fasinated with the eyes and wanted to touch them. The poor chicken!! She also liked the hard red part on the top of their heads.

Avery followed the goats around and tried to pick every single one of them up. She was not successful and none of the goats wanted to be her friend in the end.

They had a bunch of baby chicks and both Avery and Sarah loved them. Avery held one and so did Sarah!!! Sarah also pulled a lot of feathers out!!
My favorite part were the 3 little kittens. We had to wait 10 minutes to hold them because they were taking naps, but it was worth it. Avery liked the kitten and I even got her to say that she likes cats more than dogs by the end. So that was a great bonus!!

Hillcrest Orchards

After Burt's we went up the road 10 minutes to Hillcrest Orchards. They grow the best apples in Georgia. Normally people can pick the apples, but because of a dry season we weren't able to pick any. That of course did not stop Christopher from getting Avery to pick some.
She was proud of her little apple. And she added to her collection by picking up a bunch that had fallen on the ground.
Christopher also got Sarah up in the tree. She could not get any apples, but she liked looking at them!

Burt's Pumpkin Patch

On Saturday we drove up to north Georgia and went to Burt's Pumpkin Patch. They had huge some of the biggest pumpkins I have ever seen in my life.

Sarah really liked being there and was happy to pose for some pictures. Avery we had to bribe with some yummy pumpkin bread.

We talked Avery into trying to pick up some of the pumpkins. I thought it was pretty funny and she tried very hard, but could not even move it a little.

We had a fun morning there and were excited to pick out some pumpkins. We ended up getting a big pumpkin, an Avery size pumpkin, and a Sarah size pumpkin. We will show you those when we carve them!!!
