Santa's Visit

Our girls did great this year sitting on Santa's lap! Avery was so excited to see him, she ran down the hallway and waiting very impatiently in line. She kept saying, "I want to see Santa"!
This was our first attempt!

And this was our second! I don't know why Avery was even excited for Santa to come to our house. Poor Santa.

Sarah's First Birthday!

Sarah turned one on the 10th and so we invited some friends and family over for a party. Sarah (really Avery) opened her presents and then she ate a lot of cake. She loved it! I took some great pictures of her and then when I went to blog them something happened with the memory card and computer and all the pictures were deleted. So I was very sad and cried. I did not want Sarah to be one of those kids who did not have pictures to document her life's milestones. The next night we did her party again and ate cake again. Sarah did not complain. I kind of took a lot more pictures the second time around. I hope you appreciate all these pictures because we worked hard for them!

This is Sarah's high from sugar face!

I hope yall felt like you were experiencing Sarah eating her first birthday cake with us!

Cute Avery

We have been working on Avery's picture taking skills. She has actually been more willing to smile lately for the camera. She will even ask me to get the camera and take pictures of her sometimes!!

Here are some of her recent efforts!

Potty Training - Daddy Style

I look back at some of my old pictures and think what was I wearing. I think these two pictures are going to be some of those for Avery. We were trying to potty train her, so she did not have any pants on. It was cold that day, so she had a long sleeve shirt on. We had also just recieved some hand-me-down clothes and in the bag were minnie mouse slippers, which of course Avery insisted on wearing all day.
When Christopher came home and saw Avery sitting on the potty he joined in and tried to help Avery enjoy sitting on her toilet more by giving her a Calvin and Hobbes book! It actually worked in getting Avery to sit for longer, but not in getting her to actually go to the bathroom in her potty.

Peak-A-Boo

Sarah loves to play peak-a-boo! She can even say it now. Christopher brought home a plastic fireman's hat and for the rest of the night Sarah played peak-a-boo with it. It was very cute!

Peak-a-boo!

Our New Home

We moved into our new apartment at the end of September. It took about 2 weeks to get done most of the unpacking and about the next 6 weeks to get those last 5 boxes unpacked and put away. I don't know why it works that way, but it does everytime...atleast for us.
We love our new apartment. It is almost twice as big as our old apartment in Provo. My favorite part is my huge walk in closet and Christopher's favorite part is his Man Cave that he has been able to put all his manly things in.

Avery loves having more room to run around and Sarah still does not know the difference.

You walk into the apartment and see this.

To the right is the dining area.

Then there is the kitchen and pantry and laundry area.

To the left of the computer table is our living area.

The door on the far left is the door to our bedroom, bathroom, and closets.

The door to the right of the computer is the door to the girls room and bathroom.

Off of the living room we have a nice balcony that Avery rides her bike on.
Outside our front door is Christopher's man cave!

Mickey and A Cheerleader

Avery is now a huge fan of Halloween. She mastered saying trick or treat! We went to the ward truck or treat party on Saturday night. I walked her around to all the cars and loved fulling up her basket with candy. Once we were all done she kept asking all night if she could go to more cars. She got so much candy she could not even life her bag by the end of the night.
Avery dressed up as a UGA cheerleader! Don't worry we already got a lot of flack from ward members about it not being a BYU cheerleader costume.
Sarah dressed up as Mickey Mouse! Avery was very jealous!

Pumpkin Carving

This year for Halloween we decided to get two pumpkins. One for Avery and one for us!Christopher got really into the carving of the pumpkins. He found a couple of cut-outs and traced them onto the pumpkins and then got special carving tools and cut them out!

Avery especially liked seeing Mickey Mouse on a pumpkin!!
Best picture of Avery ever taken!!
