Happy First Birthday James!!!!

My baby turned 1 on November 10th!  It was a pretty busy day, but we managed to find time to celebrate!!
He actually got really into his presents and loved ripping the wrapping paper off.  He caught on real quick that there were toys in the presents!  He did a great job opening them which made his sisters sad that their help was not needed.

He didn't quite know what to do with his cake.  He just looked at it for a bit and then played in it for awhile.
 Finally he took a bit!
And he even fed some to me!
He was a very happy boy by the end of the day!
 And so were his sisters!

Off to the bath...

Halloween

We got to dress up a lot this Halloween!
We were invited to a costume party!  Avery was a ballerina and Sarah went as Snow White!

Avery had her fall festival at school and she dressed up as a pink princess!
She got a yellow heart with orange dots painted on her hand.
James went as Tigger to our ward trunk or treat!

They had really cute activities for the kids to do.  They played pin the eye on the monster and color a jack-o-lantern face on a tangerine!

 This is Sarah's twin, May.
We had to carve our pumpkins after Halloween this year because of Christopher's crazy school schedule, but the kids still had fun!

This is Avery's best scary face!

Athens Corn Maze

Yesterday we went to the Athens' Corn Maze.  It was a lot of fun!  We took a family picture in front of the sign and of course a nice statue of a bulldog had to be included.  Only in Athens!
There was a petting farm with bunnies, pigs, chickens, goats, cows and horses.
The pig took a liking to James
Avery enjoyed feeding the bunny grass.

The best part of the farm was their corn box.  It is just like a sand box, but with corn.  Sarah and Avery loved it and James hated it.  We buried Avery and Sarah took a corn shower.

We also went on a fun hayride.  We finished the day walking through the corn maze and didn't get lost once!

Avery's first day of preschool

Avery started preschool this past week!  She is going 3 days a week and so far loves it!

UGA

We moved at the end of July to Athens, GA.  Christopher started their MBA program and we will be here for the next 2 years.  My brother, Hansen, came and visited us for a week!  We took him on the official UGA tour!
The stadium!
Terry College of Business, where all of Christopher's classes are!
The church bell on campus.  And no our girls were not strong enough to make the bell ring on its own.
The famous arch on UGA campus.  It is said to be bad luck to walk under the archway until after you graduate...so of course Hansen walked under it!!
We even took Hansen on the UGA bus!  Avery really loved it, despite what her face is portraying!

Summer Vacation!

Our vacation started out great!  We were headed to Utah for the week.
Christopher loves to stop at all the state signs to document what states our kids have been in!

We spent our first night in Kansas City!  We went and saw the new temple!

And then we went to a Kansas City Royals game.  They even won!!!

Our second day went great until we got into Colorado!
And our car broke down 100 miles east on Denver.
Here we are in the tow truck!  We rode for 100 miles just like this!!!
We had a day detour and spent the night in Denver.  We ended up leaving our car there to get fixed.
We rented a car and kept on going to Utah.

Before going to our reunion we stopped by our old apartment.
Here we are at Gates Hall!  This is where Christopher and I met.  We had to get a picture because very soon it will be bulldozed!
 The "Y"!

Our goal this summer was to get pictures of our kids with all their grandparents.  Here they are with their great grandma Blake.
Here they are with grandma and grandpa Blake!
The worlds most awesome teeter totter that also spins in circles!
After Utah we went to Grand Junction to see Christopher's grandparents.  Avery and Sarah loved their back yard.
Avery, Sarah, and James with their great grandma and great grandpa Siebert!

Our plan was to go the same way home as we went out to Utah, but because of our horrible car problems we had to take a detour to Texas and stay a couple of days!  I, of course, did not mind one bit!!!
