A Social Butterfly

Avery now walks around and pretends to talk on the phone.

Avery being cute!

Lately Avery has been very happy. I believe it is because she can now walk and go where ever she wants to. She even seems to be enjoying meal time more! Which is always a plus because this girl needs to gain more weight!

Our Two Hours at the Zoo

Our visit to the zoo began with Avery's impression of a gorilla.

She and Maren then wanted to find out if they measured up.

When they weren't able to measure up by themselves, they decided that the two of them could measure up together. This is the first time we've ever seen them cooperate with each other.

If you haven't noticed yet, Avery wasn't having a very good time until...

the downpour began. She loved the rain and was happy the rest of the time we were there.

Although it only rained for 25 minutes, it was extremely cold, so we enjoyed watching the giraffes indoors.

Avery is always asked what cougars, lions, and leopards say, even by those at church. She was finally able to see those animals.

We came home and made honey-chipotle glazed ribs, and they were pretty much amazing.

Avery, Where's Your Nose?

Avery's well on her way to learning where her beebo (belly button for all those who don't read children's books about hippos) is.

Avery's "Play" Date

While at the driving range a couple weekends ago, Avery was learning how to share with her good friend Calvin.

I haven't had anything yet, so how can I have some more of nothing?

Last night we made s'mores cookies, and they were soooo good. Avery liked them too.

Also, if you're tired of eating the same ol' burger all the time, try this on your next one:

In a food processor, combine and blend until smooth one cup mayo, 1 garlic clove, one small can of diced hot green chiles, 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice, and seaon with salt and pepper.

You won't regret it.

Our Summer Thus Far

When Hannah isn't keeping Avery out of trouble and making our home beautiful, she spends her time scrapbooking and cross stitching a Christmas stocking for Christopher. She says this may be the last one that she makes.

When Christopher isn't working his new data analyst job, studying for the first two actuarial exams, and training with Talmadge for their triathlon, he enjoys taking the car apart and pretending that he knows how to repair it. He also grills at least twice a week, making all those jealous who are within the smell of fuoco, his grill (yes, he has named it).

Dancing Queen

Avery laughing

Avery loves to laugh and play with daddy, and she is just so stinkin cute when she does!

Avery - for Kate!

Avery loves to visit our little BYU duck pond. Instead of feeding the ducks though, she just eats the bread herself. Funny Avery. Avery was called a boy 4 times the day she wore her new I heart NY shirt. oh well, next time I will just have to put a bow in her hair.

Avery is very good at playing the Wii with her mom and dad. She gets very excited and shakes the controller all around. It is very cute.

Avery is learning to stand all on her own. She does not do it very often, but she is learning quick. She also now loves her hippo chair. I am very glad because when she was a baby she hated the thing.
